The 380598-2 is a closed-bottom reusable test socket designed for reliable component testing. It features a tin-lead finished cup and a gold-plated spring, engineered to accept component leads ranging from 0.018 to 0.040 inches (0.46 to 1.02 mm) in diameter. The receptacle's spring member ensures uniform pressure for maximum conductivity, while a flared lip allows for easy lead insertion and acts as a positive stop. This drawn copper cup socket is designed for insertion into a 0.089-inch mounting hole, making it ideal for prototyping and test fixture applications requiring secure, repeatable connections.
