DESCRIPTION

3-88179-4 is a 12-position receptacle housing designed for flexible flat cable (FFC) and wire termination applications. The housing accommodates flexible flat cable with .050 or .062 wide conductors (cable .015 max thickness) and/or #22-32 AWG wire with insulation diameter range of .045 to .069 inches. Constructed from glass-filled nylon with black color and UL V-0 flammability rating, it provides reliable electrical connections. Key dimensions include A dimension of .640 inches, B dimension of .734 inches, and C dimension of .850 inches. The housing mates with FFC pin housing and requires receptacle contacts to be ordered separately. This component is suitable for applications requiring secure FFC or wire-to-board connections.
