DESCRIPTION
The 47825 is a bottoming die component used in crimp tooling systems to guarantee proper crimp force application during wire and terminal crimping operations. This tooling component is designed to work within TE Connectivity's crimping system, which applies controlled compression and reduction of cross-sectional area to achieve specified tensile strength, mechanical stability, and electrical conductivity. The die operates with a handle force range of 40–47 lbs and produces a crimp height between 38.18 and 498 units (as received) and 452–389 units (after crimp), with verification recommended every 8 months or 1,000 cycles. Bottoming dies are critical for maintaining long-term consistency in crimping production and ensuring repeatable, reliable connections in connectivity applications across industrial and commercial wire processing.
