DESCRIPTION

The 499206-3 is a 16-position connector housing designed for reliable electrical interconnection in PCB-mounted applications. The housing is constructed from glass-filled nylon or polyester with B4V-O flame rating in black, while the posts are manufactured from phosphor bronze or brass to ensure excellent electrical conductivity and durability. The connector features precision-machined posts with a diameter of 0.64 mm (±0.03 mm) at the tips and includes ejection latches for secure mating. Surface finishes include either 0.76 µm minimum gold plate on the localized plate area with 2.54 µm minimum tin or tin-lead plate on the tail and 1.27 µm minimum nickel underplate on the entire post, or alternative plating specifications. The recommended PCB board mounting dimensions are provided with 2.54 mm [0.100 inch] spacing between positions, making it suitable for standard connector applications in telecommunications, industrial control, and data transmission systems.
