DESCRIPTION
The 5-102398-2 is a right-angle MT receptacle assembly part of the AMPMODU Interconnection System, designed for mass termination applications with insulation displacement contacts. This 8-position assembly features a 0.100 inch [2.54 mm] centerline spacing and accommodates 26–22 AWG [0.12–0.3 mm²] wire with a 0.300 inch [7.62 mm] dimension A and 0.300 inch [7.62 mm] dimension B. The housing is constructed from glass-filled thermoplastic rated 94V-0, with duplex plating of 0.000030 inch [0.00076 mm] gold on the contact area and 0.000150–0.000300 inch [0.00381–0.00762 mm] matte tin on the solder area, all over 0.000050 inch [0.00127 mm] nickel. The insulation displacement contacts feature dual cantilever beams with built-in overstress protection and a completely enclosed box design for reliable mating with square male posts. This assembly is recognized under UL Component Program File No. E28476 and certified by Canadian Standards Association File No. LR 7189, making it suitable for industrial interconnection, telecommunications, and consumer electronics applications requiring reliable, cost-effective mass termination.
