DESCRIPTION
5179160-1 is a receptacle connector assembly with solder peg designed for 0.8mm back-to-back (B-T-B) board-to-board connections. The housing is constructed from liquid crystal polymer (LCP) high-temperature thermoplastic material rated UL 94V-O in natural color, with beryllium copper contacts and brass solder pegs. The contact area features a minimum of 0.0002 inches of gold plating over 0.0013 inches of nickel, while the soldering area is finished with a minimum of 0.001 inches of matte tin. The connector is supplied on a reel with a 330mm outer diameter and 80mm flange core diameter, with a reel width of 10mm. This assembly is commonly used in high-density interconnect applications requiring reliable solder-based board connections with precise dimensional tolerances.
