DESCRIPTION
5179160-3 is a receptacle assembly with solder peg designed for 0.8mm back-to-back (B-T-B) connector applications. The housing is constructed from liquid crystal polymer (LCP) thermoplastic material rated UL 94V-O in natural color, providing excellent thermal and chemical resistance. The contacts are made from beryllium copper with a gold finish (0.0002 inch minimum) on the contact area and 0.0013 inch minimum nickel plating overall, while the solder peg is brass with 0.001 inch minimum matte-tin finish. This connector assembly is commonly used in high-reliability electronic applications requiring robust interconnection with precise dimensional tolerances and superior contact performance.
