DESCRIPTION
5406721-1 is a single port modular jack designed for PCB mounting in networking and communication applications. This 8-position/8-contact (8P8C) unshielded connector features Cat 3 performance rating and is configured for side entry (right-angle) surface mount installation with an inverted orientation and panel stops. The jack meets FCC Part 68 rules and regulations, REA PE-76, and UL 1863 standards, with 1000 volt dielectric capability contact to contact. Constructed with UL 94V-0 flame retardant polyester housing and selectively gold plated phosphor bronze contacts, this modular jack is ideal for telecommunications equipment, networking devices, and communication circuit accessories requiring reliable RJ45 connectivity.
