DESCRIPTION
54489-3 is a 3-position in-line housing with mounting flanges designed for AMP Power Lock Series I high-current connector applications. The housing is constructed from natural color nylon material and features hermaphroditic design allowing modular clustering with other connectors of the same series. Key dimensions include A dimension of 0.936 inches (23.77 mm) and B dimension of 1.186 inches (30.12 mm). The housing incorporates integral stainless steel locking springs for positive contact retention and reliable performance. This connector housing is suitable for free-hanging, surface mounted, and thru-panel mounted configurations in high current applications up to 31 amperes, and is UL recognized and CSA certified.
