DESCRIPTION

55785-2 is a tape-mounted PIDG butt splice designed for reliable wire-to-wire connections in 16-14 AWG applications. This pre-insulated splice features natural nylon insulation with blue stripes for easy identification and is rated for wire sizes from 2,050 to 5,180 circular mils (1.04-2.62 mm²). The splice has a maximum length of 1.065 inches (27.05 mm) and accommodates wire insulation diameters up to 0.170 inches (4.32 mm). Constructed with tin-plated copper and nylon insulation rated at 300V maximum and 105°C maximum, it meets MIL-T-7928 specifications. These splices are ideal for control circuits and power wiring applications requiring uniform, high-quality solderless terminations.
