DESCRIPTION

5-745287-0 is an HDE-20 metal-shell IDC (insulation displacement contact) connector designed for quick and reliable cable termination without stripping wire insulation. This plug connector features a shell size 1 configuration with 9 contact positions, accommodating 30-26 AWG solid or stranded wire (maximum 7 strands). The connector has a steel shell with tin plating, a 94V-0 rated thermoplastic black insert, and duplex-plated phosphor bronze contacts with gold on the mating end and tin on the termination end, all nickel underplated. Dimensions are 1.213 inches (Dim. A) by 0.984 inches (Dim. B), with a maximum wire insulation thickness of 0.015 inches and diameter of 0.060 inches. These connectors are ideal for industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, and telecommunications applications where fast, tool-free termination is required.
