DESCRIPTION
5749246-1 is a shielded D-subminiature connector kit designed for standard cable connector applications. This receptacle features 15 positions with a full metal shell (Size 2) and slide latch mating connector lock mechanism. The kit includes a carbon steel shell with tin over copper plating, nylon insert with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and accommodates cable insulation diameters from 4.83 to 9.53 mm (0.190 to 0.375 in). The connector is RoHS/ELV compliant and comes pre-assembled without contacts (contact size 20). It is ideal for industrial, telecommunications, and instrumentation applications requiring reliable shielded connections.
