DESCRIPTION

5749621-1 is a 20-position AMPLIMITE .050 Series cable plug connector with standard termination covers, designed for insulation displacement contact (IDC) wire termination. This high-density D-sub connector features a compact .050 x .100 inch (1.27 x 2.54 mm) grid spacing and includes latchblocks for secure mating. The housing and covers are made of thermoplastic rated 94V-0, with phosphor bronze contacts featuring duplex plating with minimum .000030 inch (0.00076 mm) gold on the mating end and tin on the termination end, all nickel underplated. The connector accommodates 28 AWG (0.08-0.09 mm²) or 30 AWG (0.05 mm²) wire, solid or 7 strand, with insulation diameter of .029-.036 inch (0.74-0.89 mm). This connector requires a backshell kit for complete assembly and is ideal for data and device interconnect applications requiring reliable, high-density connections.
