DESCRIPTION
66358-5 is a Metrimate Type III+ crimp snap-in socket contact designed for use in pin and socket connectors. This contact features a size 16 configuration with a pin diameter of 1.57 mm [.062 in] and is constructed with a copper alloy body and stainless steel spring. The contact is suitable for wire sizes ranging from 18-14 AWG (0.8-2.0 mm²) and is available with selective gold over nickel plating. These contacts are designed for true metric dimensions with contacts on 5 mm centers and are commonly used in industrial, instrumentation, and power distribution applications where reliable electrical connections are required.
