DESCRIPTION
The 66400-9 is a Metrimate pin and socket connector contact designed for use with 24-20 AWG wire sizes and 2.03-2.54 mm² insulation diameters, featuring a bright tin-lead contact finish. This contact is part of the Metrimate series of metric pin and socket connectors manufactured by TE Connectivity/AMP, which are recognized under UL Component Program File No. E28476 and certified to ISO 9001 quality standards. The connector operates within a temperature range of -55°C to +130°C and maintains an insulation resistance of 5000 megohms minimum, with a voltage rating of 600 VAC and VDC per UL and CSA standards. The contact body is constructed from copper alloy with tin-lead plating, and the spring is made of stainless steel, providing reliable electrical performance and durability. These contacts are commonly used in industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and other applications requiring metric-spaced connectors with secure, polarized mating.
