DESCRIPTION
66461-3 is a precision wrap-type socket contact designed for backpanel wiring termination in AMP connector systems. The contact features a brass body with stainless steel retention spring, providing reliable electrical connection and mechanical retention. It is available with selective gold/nickel, gold/nickel, or bright tin-lead finish options to meet various environmental and performance requirements. The contact accommodates wire sizes from 26 to 24 AWG (0.12–0.2 mm²) with insulation diameter range of 0.025 × 0.025 inches (0.64 × 0.64 mm) for wrap-type termination.
