DESCRIPTION
7-215460-4 is a female-on-board side entry connector from the TE Connectivity Micro-MaTch connector family, designed for wire-to-board and board-to-board interconnections with a 1.27 mm contact centerline spacing. The connector features tin-plated contacts with a gas-tight connection design that incorporates an additional positioning spring in the female part to absorb relative movements caused by vibrations and thermal expansion, making it fretting corrosion resistant. The connector is suitable for mass termination of 28 AWG ribbon cable (0.08 mm² to 0.09 mm²) and is available in multiple position sizes (4 to 20 positions). This connector is widely used in automation and control applications including production and material handling equipment, control units, robots, motors, heating systems, automotive electronics, and communication devices, where reliable interconnection and resistance to environmental stress are essential.
