DESCRIPTION
The 747301-8 is an AMPLIMITE HD-20 subminiature D-type receptacle connector designed for high-density interconnect applications. It features Shell Size 4 with 37 contact positions and is configured with 4-40 threaded inserts for secure PCB mounting. The connector has a mating face dimension of 2.732 inches (69.39 mm) by 2.500 inches (63.50 mm), with a post length of 0.170 inches (4.32 mm) recommended for PCB thicknesses of 0.083 to 0.125 inches (2.06 to 3.18 mm). The housing is constructed from 94V-0 rated thermoplastic in black, with a steel shell that is tin-plated, and includes brass threaded inserts. Socket contacts are phosphor bronze with gold plating on the mating end and tin-lead on the termination end, featuring a minimum 0.00127 inches (0.0005 inches) nickel underplate. This connector is ideal for applications requiring reliable, compact interconnections in industrial electronics, telecommunications, and instrumentation systems.
