DESCRIPTION

749180-1 is a shielded miniature circular DIN receptacle designed for right-angle board mount applications in computer I/O systems. This connector features 6 positions in a standard thru-hole configuration with integrated hold-down capability. The housing is constructed from thermoplastic material with 94V-O flame rating and black coating, while the shield is made of copper alloy plated with a minimum of 0.00254 mm tin-lead over 0.00076 mm nickel. The contacts are phospho-bronze with gold plating in the mating area, ensuring reliable electrical connections and corrosion resistance. This connector is commonly used in personal computer systems and industrial I/O applications where shielded, compact circular connectors are required for signal integrity and EMI protection.
