DESCRIPTION
8-2178711-4 is a 14-position female on board, top entry SMD connector from TE Connectivity's Micro-MaTch Value-line Connector Family. It features a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) centerline pitch with tin plated contacts, providing gas tight and corrosion free connections with insulation displacement contacts. This miniature connector is supplied on tape and reel (P&P Tape: Y) for automatic placing and termination, saving space on printed circuit boards. The connector accepts standard ribbon cable and is compatible with a full range of application tooling from hand tools to fully automated equipment. Common applications include home automation and alarm equipment, mobile GPS devices, lighting, and air and climate control units in industrial, consumer, and datacom environments.
