DESCRIPTION
917989-6 is a 22-position side lock plug housing designed for the MULTILOCK .040/.070 Series Hybrid I/O connector system. This wire-to-board connector features PBT housing material and supports wire sizes ranging from 0.2 to 1.25 mm² (AWG 24–16). The connector utilizes a 2.5 mm contact centerline spacing and incorporates a double-lock mechanism to ensure complete contact insertions. It is designed to mate with various cap housing assemblies including 34, 38, 48, 64, and 76 position configurations for printed circuit board termination. This RoHS and ELV compliant component is widely used in automotive applications including powertrain systems, safety and security systems, driver information, and body and chassis systems.
