DESCRIPTION
The 966144-6 is a double wire ferrule with plastic collar designed to reliably connect two 1.50 mm² flexible leads using screw or spring clamps in automotive electrical systems. The ferrule features a copper sleeve with galvanic tin plating and a polypropylene plastic collar rated up to +120 °C, conforming to DIN 46228 Part 4 specifications. With dimensions of 16.0 mm (A), 8.0 mm (B), 2.20 mm (C), and 6.6 mm (D), and an insulation diameter maximum of 3.0 mm, it provides a compact, color-coded solution for protecting crimped connections. The ferrule is supplied in strip form with a 10.0 mm strip length and is crimped using AMP precision tools to form a gas-tight connection. This product is ideal for use in switching cabinets, control units, and equipment with row clamp or poke-in clamp connectors where high contact reliability is required.
