DESCRIPTION

The 259-83-00500 is an ELCON Drawer Series connector designed for true hot-plug, blind-mating applications combining mixed signal and power contacts. It features high-conductivity screw-machined contacts available with either gold or silver plating to deliver optimal performance in demanding power distribution environments. The connector supports contact sizes ranging from 1 Amp signal contacts up to 200 Amps per power contact, with sequenced contacts providing mate-first-break-last operation for safe hot-plug insertion. Panel-mount versions float up to ±2 mm to accommodate blind-mating requirements, and the connector is rated for 100 to 1000 mate/unmmate cycles depending on the specific configuration. Typical applications include low-noise power supplies, switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), power factor-correcting (PFC) supplies, redundant (N+1) power systems, and live hot-plug power supply installations.
