DESCRIPTION
The 8-1618401-9 is a KILOVAC LEV200 Series high-voltage DC contactor designed for demanding power switching applications requiring sealed, reliable operation. It features a 1 Form A (SPST-NO) main power contact rated for 500+ amps continuous carry and 2000 amps interrupt at 320 Vdc, with an optional auxiliary contact rated for 2A at 30 Vdc or 3A at 125 Vac. The contactor is hermetically sealed to prevent oxidation and contamination, operates reliably in explosive and harsh environments, and maintains performance over an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Key performance characteristics include a typical close time of 25 ms, dielectric withstanding voltage of 2,200 Vrms at sea level, and insulation resistance of 100 megohms at 500 Vdc. This contactor is ideal for battery switching, backup power systems, DC voltage power control, and circuit protection applications where long-term reliability and sealed operation are critical.
