DESCRIPTION

The KA-89-15 is a 50-ohm TNC termination resistor designed for RF and microwave applications requiring precision impedance matching and signal termination. It is rated for 0.5 watts at ±1% tolerance with non-inductive construction, ensuring minimal reactance across the operating frequency range. The device features a standing wave ratio (SWR) of less than 1.08 or return loss of -27.96 dB at 100 MHz, demonstrating excellent impedance matching performance. The termination employs a TNC connector interface per MIL-STD-348 Figure 301-1 and is constructed with Teflon insulation, silicone rubber gasket, and brass body with silver-plated center contact and nickel-plated components for corrosion resistance and RoHS compliance. This termination is commonly used in RF test equipment, transmission line termination, and impedance matching applications where precise 50-ohm termination and low reflection are critical.
