DESCRIPTION
The AP12-1-65-252 is a two-pole, fully sealed magnetic circuit protector designed for DC applications with short time delay characteristics and a nominal current rating of 2.5 amperes. This hydraulic magnetic circuit protector combines accurate, reliable circuit protection with inverse time delays and trip-free features, maintaining consistent trip current performance across a wide temperature span unlike thermal protectors. The unit features a DC series resistance of 0.298 ohms for all delays except 40, 50, and 60, and operates with trip time characteristics where 125% of rated current produces a trip time range of 0.4 to 4 seconds at 45°C vertical mount. The AP12-1-65-252 is available in toggle configuration with optional on-off plate and auxiliary switch capability, making it suitable for applications requiring precise circuit protection in DC power systems, industrial control circuits, and equipment where reliable overload and short-circuit protection is essential.
