DESCRIPTION
1241375-1 is a standard receptacle contact (SRC) from the AMP MCP 1.5K Contact System, designed for electronic and electrical applications in motor vehicles. This loose-piece contact is made of CuNiSi material with pre-tin plating and accommodates wire sizes from 0.5 to 1.0 mm² with insulation diameters of 1.4 to 2.1 mm (FLR). The contact features a contact resistance of =2 mO in new state, maximum mating and unmating forces of 6 N, and mates with male contacts sized 1.5 x 0.6 mm. The MCP system provides high reliability through 3 redundant contact points, protected contact springs in a closed steel box, and overstress protection. Common applications include powertrain systems, safety and security systems, body and chassis systems, and driver information systems in automobiles.
