DESCRIPTION

163088-2 is a loose piece socket contact, Type III+, with contact size 16, designed for use in TE Connectivity's Circular Hybrid Connector (CHC) system. This socket contact is part of a connector family that combines power and data communication in a single hybrid design, supporting 8 power contacts and 4 data contacts for Industrial Ethernet connections. The CHC system meets the VARAN standard and Cat5e fast Ethernet (ISO/IEC 11801), with electrical ratings of 60 V and 10 A at 40°C, and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. The connector system provides IP65 sealing performance, shock resistance of 25 g, and EMC shielding of min -60 dB to 1 GHz. Common applications include molding machines, factory automation systems, machine automation, and high-performance process control systems.
