DESCRIPTION
1-747563-0 is an HDE-20 metal-shell insulation displacement contact (IDC) connector plug designed for reliable cable termination in industrial and commercial applications. The connector features a steel shell with tin plating, a 94V-0 rated thermoplastic insert, and 37 contact positions with gold-flash plating on the mating end and tin plating on the termination end, with full nickel underplating. It accommodates recommended cable outer diameters ranging from 0.338 to 0.562 inches with a maximum inner cable bundle diameter of 0.450 inches. The connector is preloaded with insulation displacement contacts that accept solid or stranded wire (maximum 7 strands) with individual conductor strands larger than 0.005 inch diameter, and supports wire insulation thickness up to 0.015 inches and diameter up to 0.060 inches. This connector is ideal for applications requiring robust shielded connections in industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers, and telecommunications equipment.
