DESCRIPTION
1-963744-1 is a tab contact component for the AMP MCP (Multiple Contact Point) 1.5K interconnection system designed for automotive electrical applications. The contact is manufactured from CuNiSi material with tin plating (or selective silver plating on request) to provide high current capacity and reliable long-term performance. It features a 1.5 mm contact point design with protected contact springs housed in a steel box with secondary locking capability from four sides, ensuring robust mechanical and electrical integrity. The contact system includes overstress protection of the contact springs and good guiding inside the cavity. This component is widely used in powertrain systems, safety and security systems, convenience systems, driver information systems, and body and chassis systems in motor vehicles, where high reliability and long-term durability are critical requirements.
