DESCRIPTION
205202-7 is a precision crimp pin contact for AMP Precision Pin and Socket Contacts, specifically designed for Size 20 DF connectors with snap-in retention. This contact accommodates 22-18 AWG wire (0.4-0.8 mm²) with an insulation diameter range of 0.068 inches (1.73 mm) maximum. The contact body is constructed from brass with a pin diameter of 0.040 inches (1.02 mm), and features multiple finish options including duplex plating with gold on the mating end and tin on the termination end, or gold flash over nickel on the entire contact. The contact is designed for use with hand tool 91513-1 and is identified by a green dot color code for loose piece applications. This contact is widely used in signal transmission applications requiring reliable crimp termination and secure snap-in retention in compact connector assemblies.
