DESCRIPTION
The 208268-3 is an ARINC 600 press-fit power and Quadrax receptacle contact designed to eliminate soldering in PCB attachment applications while reducing weight by up to 10%. This high-performance copper-alloy stamped contact features selectively plated gold contact tips and is available in multiple sizes (22, 20, 16, and 12) with current ratings ranging from 5.0 A to 25.0 A depending on contact size. The contact operates over a temperature range of -65°C to +125°C, withstands dielectric voltages of 1500 VACrms at sea level and 500 VACrms at 50,000 ft, and maintains insulation resistance of 1000 megohms minimum. It is commonly used in in-flight entertainment systems, flight controls, communication networks, and military ground vehicles, providing manufacturing cost savings through the elimination of PCB soldering processes while maintaining backward compatibility with legacy ARINC 600 applications.
