DESCRIPTION

2-1437531-2 is an 8-position assembly socket designed for wire-wrap interconnection applications in the 500 Series connector family. The socket features thermoplastic polyester (PBT/PTE) insulation rated 94V-O with milled and unmilled insulator options and gold-plated contacts with 25 micro-inch gold finish on a 4-beam stamped design. Three wire-wrap tail configurations are available: 1/2 level (.260 inch tail), 2 level (.370 inch tail), and 3 level (.510 inch tail), providing flexibility for different circuit board depths and assembly requirements. Contact options include gold contact with gold sleeve, gold contact with tin-lead sleeve, or tin-lead contact with tin-lead sleeve. This socket is commonly used in legacy electronic equipment, test fixtures, and applications requiring reliable wire-wrap connections with multiple position and contact material options.
