The 2198484-1 is a 1x1 Mini-SAS HD external receptacle assembly with integrated lightpipe, designed for high-speed serial-attached SCSI (SAS) connectivity in storage, servers, and high-performance computing applications. This connector supports data rates up to 12 Gb/s per lane and complies with SAS-2.1 at 6 Gb/s and SAS-3 at 12 Gb/s standards, with a stacked board interface providing 36 positions per 1x1 configuration. The assembly features a preassembled, one-piece design for easy single-step PCB placement, screw-mounted retention for error-proof installation, and an enhanced EMI skirt design for improved signal integrity.
