DESCRIPTION
3-1393486-4 is a D-Sub IDC female connector designed for ribbon cable termination applications. This 9-position connector features flanges with 3.0 mm diameter mounting holes and includes strain relief marking, with stamped and formed contacts. The connector meets performance level 2 per DIN 41652 P.2 and P.4, with gold or gold flash over palladium-nickel contact mating surfaces, nickel underplate, matte tin IDC wire termination, and bright tin over nickel shell plating. It is compatible with commercially available ribbon cables with PVC insulation and tin or silver plated copper wires in AWG 26-30 range. Common applications include data communication interfaces and industrial control systems requiring reliable D-Sub connections.
