DESCRIPTION
The 66471-1 is a Metrimate pin and socket connector contact designed for Type III+ crimp snap-in applications in signal and grounding circuits. This contact features a Contact Size 16 with a pin diameter of 1.57 mm [.062 inches] and supports a test current of 13 amperes. The contact body is constructed from copper alloy with plated tin or gold finish, while the spring is made of stainless steel, providing reliable electrical performance and corrosion resistance. The contact accommodates wire sizes ranging from 26 to 24 AWG (0.12–0.2 mm²) with insulation diameters of 0.89–1.4 mm, and is available in both selective gold/nickel and bright tin-lead finishes. These contacts are ideal for industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and panel-mount connector applications where secure, polarized connections and true metric dimensions (5 mm contact centers) are required.
