DESCRIPTION
The 66594-2 is a loose piece socket contact designed for TE Connectivity's "G" Series Modular Connectors with Multimate contact technology. This contact is specifically engineered for 24-20 AWG wire sizes (0.2-0.6 mm²) and features a Type VI contact size 16 with a pin diameter of 0.062 inches (1.57 mm). The contact finish is gold flash over 0.000050 inches (0.00127 mm) nickel on the entire contact with 0.000030 inches (0.00076 mm) selective gold plating on the contact area, providing superior corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. With a test current rating of 13 amperes and copper alloy material construction, this socket contact is suitable for reliable interconnections in telecommunications, industrial control, and electronic equipment applications where durability and consistent performance are required.
