DESCRIPTION

The 6-66505-9 is a crimp snap-in contact with insulation support designed for use with AMPLIMITE subminiature D-type connectors in the HDP-20 contact size series. This socket contact is specified for wire sizes 24-20 AWG (0.2-0.6 mm) and features contact finish code A (cold flash over nickel on mating end, with additional tin-lead on termination end and entire contact nickel underplated). The contact is manufactured from phosphor bronze material and is compatible with the PRO-CRIMPER II hand tool (part number 66504-3) for loose form contact crimping applications. This contact is commonly used in precision-formed connector assemblies for electronic equipment requiring reliable miniature connections in space-constrained applications.
