DESCRIPTION
6-788796-7 is an AMPLIMITE HD-20 subminiature D-type receptacle connector designed for right-angle PCB mounting applications. This shell size 1 connector features 9 contact positions with threaded inserts and is preloaded with size 20 DF posted socket contacts. The front shell is constructed from tin-plated steel, while the housing is made from 94V-0 rated black thermoplastic compatible with standard wave, vapor phase, and infrared reflow (SMT) soldering processes. Socket contacts are phosphor bronze with duplex plating featuring gold (0.00076 mm) on the mating end and tin-lead on the termination end with nickel underplating. This connector is ideal for industrial, telecommunications, and computing applications requiring reliable D-sub interconnections.
