DESCRIPTION
HCF216J22RJ is an aluminium housed braking resistor designed for high-power overload applications with a 22O resistance value and 5% tolerance. This wire-wound resistor features a compact 15mm low-profile design with anodized extruded aluminium body, delivering 200W continuous power rating at 40°C and maximum operating temperature of 275°C. The device includes PTFE-insulated flying leads (300mm standard, rated to 600V and 200°C), IP54 ingress protection, and exceptional pulse load capability (8800W at 1.2s pulse, 2200W at 7.2s pulse, 500W at 48s pulse in 120s duty cycle). With maximum working voltage of 1100V, insulation resistance =1000MO at 1000VDC, and dielectric strength of 3500VAC, this resistor is ideal for motor braking systems, regenerative energy absorption, and industrial power control applications where space constraints and high reliability are critical.
