DESCRIPTION
The DTM04-3P-E004 is a 3-position sealed receptacle connector from the DT Family series designed for industrial and commercial transportation applications. This connector is specifically engineered for J1939 3-wire CAN (Controller Area Network) systems, accommodating CAN_HI, CAN_LO, and shield wires for serial data communications between Electronic Control Units (ECUs). The receptacle features a welded flange with shrink boot adapter in black finish, providing enhanced environmental protection and improved aesthetics. It utilizes size 16 gold-plated contacts (pins or sockets) and is compatible with standard wire sealing ranges of 0.088–0.145 inches (2.23–3.68 mm) for 14–20 AWG wire. The connector is rated to operate in harsh environments from -70°F to +225°F (-56°C to +107°C) and supports network termination with optional molded-in 120O resistors. Common applications include vehicle electrical systems, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, and other heavy-duty transportation platforms requiring reliable CAN bus connectivity.
