DESCRIPTION
The 8-1618112-2 is a protective relay from the TE Connectivity WUV/WOV Series designed for voltage-sensitive over/undervoltage protection in both AC and DC applications. This relay features screwdriver-adjustable voltage trip points ranging from 70-100% of nominal voltage for undervoltage models and 100-125% for overvoltage models, with a maximum pick-up to drop-out differential of 2.5%. The device operates across a nominal voltage range of 120 VAC to 575 VAC, supports single or three-phase configurations, and includes time-delayed operation (150-300 ms for UV models) to prevent nuisance tripping from momentary voltage transients. Output contacts consist of one normally open and one normally closed set, each rated at 5 amp resistive at 120 VAC or 28 VDC. This relay is ideal for industrial power distribution systems, motor protection circuits, and critical load management where reliable voltage monitoring and automatic disconnection are essential.
