DESCRIPTION
The CM78 is a true RMS industrial grade 1000A clamp meter with integrated IR thermometer designed for electricians requiring a safe, capable combination tool. It features AC/DC current measurement up to 1000A with ±2.5% accuracy, AC/DC voltage measurement to 1000V with ±1.5% accuracy, and resistance measurement to 40.00mO. The integrated IR thermometer provides non-contact temperature measurements from -20°C to 270°C with ±2% accuracy and an 8:1 distance-to-spot-size ratio, enabling fast thermal diagnostics on panels, conduits, and motors. Additional capabilities include capacitance measurement to 4.000mF, frequency measurement to 4000Hz, and optional Type K temperature probe support. The meter features bright white LED backlighting, data hold, peak hold, min/max/average functions, and Bluetooth connectivity for integration with FLIR Tools Mobile and METERLiNK-enabled thermal cameras. With a CAT IV-600V/CAT III-1000V safety rating and 1.7-inch jaw opening capacity, the CM78 serves electricians in industrial troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and electrical system diagnostics.
