DESCRIPTION
The KA-59-22 is a TNC plug connector designed for use with RG-58, RG-142, RG-223, and RG-400/U coaxial cables, conforming to MIL-STD-348 Figure 313-1 interface specifications. It features a nominal impedance of 50 ohms and operates across a frequency range from DC to 11 GHz with a voltage rating of 500 Vrms. The connector is constructed with Teflon insulators (ASTM-D4894), phosphor bronze C-ring (ASTM-B135), beryllium copper outer contact (ASTM-B196), and brass components (ASTM-B16), with the center contact finished in hard gold plate per ASTM-B488 and all other metal parts silver-plated per ASTM-B700. This connector is widely used in RF and microwave applications, telecommunications, test equipment, and military systems where reliable high-frequency signal transmission and impedance matching are critical.
