DESCRIPTION

The 1658526-5 is a 10-position female socket connector from the 609 series, supplied with a pre-installed strain relief. It features a dual-slot IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) design for reliable mass termination of 28-30 AWG solid or stranded ribbon cable. The connector housing is made from blue, UL 94V-0 rated, glass-filled thermoplastic, and its beryllium copper contacts are gold-plated on the mating end. This model offers both military and center polarization for secure mating with .100 x .100 inch center pin headers. It is ideal for a wide range of wire-to-board applications in electronic equipment requiring a robust, polarized connection.
