DESCRIPTION
The MCP4021-202E/MS is a non-volatile, 6-bit digital potentiometer with a resistance of 2.1 kΩ, controlled via a simple Up/Down (U/D) serial interface. It features 64 taps for precise resistance adjustments and operates over a wide voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V. The device includes Microchip's WiperLock™ technology, which secures the wiper setting in non-volatile EEPROM, and offers a power-on recall feature for the saved setting. Key characteristics include a low typical wiper resistance of 75Ω, high-voltage tolerant digital inputs up to 12.5V, and a typical -3 dB bandwidth of 4 MHz. This potentiometer is suitable for applications such as set point trimming, sensor calibration, and adjustable gain amplifier designs.
