DESCRIPTION

The 787317-4 is a CHAMP Blindmate Series I receptacle connector featuring 40 positions with a 1.27 mm (0.050 inch) centerline spacing, designed for high-speed serial data and Fibre Channel applications. The connector utilizes a vertical PCB mount orientation with post polarization and is constructed from Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) housing with a UL 94V flammability rating. Contact materials include phosphor bronze with gold (30) over nickel plating in the mating area and tin over nickel plating in the termination area, while retention legs are brass with tin over nickel plating. The termination post length is 3.18 mm (0.125 inches), and the connector is RoHS and ELV compliant with wave solder capability up to 265°C and reflow solder capability up to 260°C. This receptacle is ideal for Fibre Channel disk drive applications, high-speed serial data transmission, and SCA2 (Single Connector Attachment) systems requiring reliable blind-mate connectivity.
