DESCRIPTION
1658609-3 is a low-profile all-plastic D-subminiature receptacle connector designed for round conductor flat ribbon cable applications. This HDF-22 series connector features 15 contact positions in a shell size 2 configuration with 4-40 threaded inserts for secure mounting. The housing, cover, and cable stabilizer are constructed from 94V-0 rated black thermoplastic, while the threaded inserts are unplated brass. Pin contacts are made of phosphor bronze with duplex plating featuring .000030 min. gold on the mating end and .000100-.000200 bright tin on the termination end with .000050 min. nickel underplating. This RoHS compliant connector is ideal for industrial machinery, medical instrumentation, computers and peripherals, and data storage applications.
