DESCRIPTION
1-66107-2 is a loose piece crimp contact for AMP Metrimate pin and socket connectors, engineered for reliable electrical connections in metric-dimensioned connector systems. This contact is specified for 26-24 AWG wire sizes with an insulation diameter range of 0.89-1.40 mm² and features selective gold/nickel plating for enhanced corrosion resistance and conductivity. The contact is compatible with standard hand tools and strip form applicators, enabling efficient assembly in production environments. Metrimate connectors are designed to meet IEC 440V requirements with true metric dimensions (contacts on 5 mm centers), polarized housings, and UL 94V-0 rated thermoplastic construction.
