DESCRIPTION
66107-9 is a loose piece pin contact designed for Metrimate pin and socket connector systems used in wire-to-board applications. This contact is specified for 26-24 AWG wire sizes with an insulation diameter range of 0.89–1.40 mm and features selective gold/nickel plating for enhanced corrosion resistance and reliable electrical performance. The contact is constructed with a brass pin body and localized plated area, designed to mate with corresponding socket contacts in the Metrimate connector family. It operates within a temperature range of -55°C to +130°C and meets IEC 440 V voltage requirements with a dielectric strength of 2000 Volts RMS. These contacts are commonly used in industrial control systems, telecommunications equipment, and panel-mount applications where reliable metric-spaced connections and high-density circuit configurations are required.
